| What is Pyrography ? Pyrography is the craft or art of decorating wood or leather with heated tools. In Victorian times, Pyrography was known as Pokerwork because a red hot poker was used. Today the Pyrograph or Pyrography Machine (known in the US as a Woodburner) is used. These are now conveniently mains powered. Whereas in olden days an open fire was used to heat the iron poker. |
